Please note liquids (other than dangerous goods) are permissible to send via DHL and NZ Post, but ensure they are packaged correctly. Liquids are not permissible if sent via Singpost.

Indonesia's National Agency of Drug and Food has implemented strict controls for the importation of cosmetics and foodstuffs. Both commodities are restricted and prohibited as follows:
- - 1. Personal importation of cosmetics and foodstuffs is prohibited regardless of quantity, weight, value and purpose of shipping. Any such shipments arriving into Indonesia will be returned to the point of origin
- - 2. Importation of cosmetics by a business entity is restricted, and a permit is required from the National Agency of Drug & Food Control (BPOM). The consignee is required to apply for such permit.
- - 3. A certificate of inspection from the point of origin is required for an FOB shipment in excess of USD 1,500.

Dangerous goods, including but not restricted to:
- - 1. Explosives - E.g. ammunition, fireworks, inters, fuses and caps for toy firearms
- - 2. Compressed Gas (flammable & non-flammable) - E.g. aerosol products, charged butane cigarette lighters and fire extinguishers
- - 3. Liquids - Flammable liquids in any form - E.g. gasoline, flammable solvents, paints and varnish removers
- - 4. Flammable solids - E.g. matches of all kinds and cellulose nitrate films/substances which become dangerous when wet
- - 5. Oxidising Materials - E.g. substances which yield oxygen readily, selected hair/textile dyes, bleaching powders and adhesives
- - 6. Toxic & Infectious Substances - E.g. drugs and medicines (except samples of poisons/toxins /drugs/medicines in prescription quantities which are packed and transmitted in the prescribed manner)
- - 7. Radioactive Materials - E.g. medical or research samples containing substances
- - 8. Corrosives - E.g. corrosive cleaning liquids, rust removers or preventative instruments containing mercury/battery fluid
